bobfriedman Posted December 2, 2019 Share Posted December 2, 2019 increased sensitivity and higher resolution. for example, with a bayer array if you have pure "red" in an image you will only get 9 Mpx of the 36Mpx on that subject whereas with a monochrome sensor you get 36Mpx everywhere. Also no AA-filter. I also chose to use BG38 filter glass which admits UV, so this is a UV capable camera as well.
