Hey everyone,

I've been shooting UV for a couple years now on film, primarily. I've been trying to get a setup for portraits going. Here are some examples: 69395974_132695794679527_5733885042061946385_n.jpg?_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-2.cdninstagram.com&_nc_cat=10771886921_2543952325838006_6884329878329235893_n.jpg?_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-1.cdninstagram.com&_nc_cat=102

Most welcome to UVP, with or without portraits :) I'll look forward to seeing more of your work. If anything needs the be asked, by all means ask.

Do pay attention to undesirable UV input to the model's eyes, though.

I am using LEDs that emit at 365nm and expose the models only for the duration of the shot- under 10 seconds. Few models have shot with me more than once. I've also measured the output of my lights (at a distance of one foot) to be less than that which you get from sunlight at peak emissions during summer. Given that the rules I've derived for estimating shutterspeed tend to produce similar results when shooting in late summer sunlight, outdoors and well past peak emissions, I would imagine that I am not exposing them to much more.
