Harvesting apples, 950nm

I was interested in the topic https://www.ultravio...__fromsearch__1 so much that I went to take pictures with 950 nm.

Olympus em5FS, SIGMA 30mm F2.8 DN, iso 800, f2,8 , 1/100 s, hand hold

and photo with" dark " water. I couldn't resist doing it again

the top row is 950nm and FS with added contrast, the bottom row is the same photo in black and white

I am curious about the water bottle on the end of the stick? What is that for? Is it just a walking stick ornamented with a water bottle? Or does it serve some other purpose?

I imagine it is a smart design to pick one or two apples sitting higher than you normally can reach and still avoid that they drop to the ground and get crushed.

I have seen a similar device but with with an open pouch hanging below a narrow rounded long pinned rake.
