bvf
On holiday recently I took this picture of a friend to illustrate how skin with sunblock looks when photographed in UV. Not a great picture - handheld, ISO 26,500, not well focussed, and it would have been better with the sunglasses off. But what interests me is the purple blob on the left front tooth. I thought that perhaps a bit of sunblock had got on the tooth - but it turns out this was dental work to repair a broken tooth. Completely invisible to the naked eye. Sony A6000, Cassar S, Baader U, white balanced against PTFE. Link to comment
colinbm
Ha ha, it is the UV putty the dentist uses now-a-days...:-)Col Link to comment
Andrea B.
I have some teeth like that! But I'm not sure I want to UV photograph them. Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure what was used to cover them. Porcelain I think. I know they do fluoresce a bit under the UV-Led. It's always interesting to see such things in UV.
