Taking photos by computer makes focusing easier

Last night I discovered the Sony Imaging Edge app (for Mac and Windows), which allows you to see your camera's Live View on your computer screen. This makes it vastly easier to focus, since my computer screen is 27 inches, while my camera screen is maybe 2.5 inches. (I don't know how they advertise computer screens overseas, but here they are in inches. Anyway, you take my meaning.) The app is confusingly named "Remote.app" on the Mac, not "Imaging Edge."

Here is the download link if you are a Sony user:

Please note that there is a bug that prevents the app from working if DropBox is on, so you have to turn that off before hooking up the camera.

I would imagine that other companies provide something similar.

Well, I could do it by hand but his software probably won’t work on my Mac. It was a good thought though.
