HTTPS: Green/Black/Grey Locked Padlock !

Andrea B.

Recommended Posts

We should now have the Green Padlock showing almost everywhere as I have found all (I hope!!) the links to the little images and icons (in the form of jpg, bmp, gif) which make up the underlying forum structure. Those links also needed to be changed in the source code and css style sheets from http to https.

We have been secure as far as input (logins, typing) goes,

but it is best to have every little thing properly handled.

Please let me know here if you still see the yellow warning triangle on any page you access. Be sure to make a note of what you were doing if you see it.

I still need to make some URL redirect changes. Those take a while to percolate through the DNS servers.

Meanwhile, it is a good idea to edit your own bookmarks for UVP and links to UVP so that they use https.

Look for a Locked Padlock

In the title of this topic I used the "Green Padlock" term generically. Depending on your browser and whether you are using a laptop/mobile/PC, you might see any color of Padlock. Just make sure the Padlock is Locked, OK?

Well we hope so. Do let me know if you find any stray UV-cows wandering about.
