When considering a camera system or moving to a new camera system, it may be important to consider the lenses within that system that are capable of autofocus for Ultraviolet photography.

This is a list as far as I know with the references I could find to Spectra or user comment. Please let me know if your favorite lens is missing.

Andy,

Of the ones I have tested

F-mount: 105mm Macro D, happily very surprised by my lens

4/3rds: Olympus 35mm f3.5 macro

M43rds: sigma 30mm f2.8 and just Olympus 30mm f3.5 Macro, but Sigma goes deeper.

I'm curious about how far into the UV the autofocus will hold up. Any experiments there David?

I'll link your post in the Lens Sticky when I do updates. For now I'll put a link under the Lens Sticky to remind myself. :)

Added note to Micro four thirds. If you have modified firmware on the Olympus Em1 and Em5mk2, and install the new Metabones 3.34 firmware on the EF ultra speed booster, you will get in camera focus stacking using the Canon 40mm f2.8 pancake lens. I have tested this and it works.

My Canon 40mm f2.8 lens with speed booster acts like 27mm lens, just wider than my Sigma 30mm f2.8 which acts like a 28mm lens. So I now have 55mm to 60mm very well covered with my Olympus 30mm macro, which acts like 30mm.
