Bob, Those look good.

Where is that?

Like I always say, you can hide the sun behind a tree, but hiding a Jeep behind a tree can be a little more tricky... ;)

It looks like you used something like a 2 x 8 image grid for this. Is that wrong?

What panorama program did you use?

I am not sure I am following you on the grid. the aspect was driven by the portrait orientation of the lens for a 24x36 aspect angle. three rows by 360 deg, I also cropped the bottom to eliminate the tripod legs

I used PTGuiPro

The trees look like giant umbrellas. That's so cool! Love these.

Hi Bob, I have seen reports that this lens can hot spot in IR but I didn't notice any in your 830nm images at a quick glance. Have you encountered hotspots with that lens? and what do you think compared to the older 17-35/2.8?

I haven't had a single hot spot with the 16-35/4G and I think that it is better corrected (aberration-wise, distortion) than the 17-35/2.8D. Also it is quite contrasty in the IR. I initially tried a copy a friend let me borrow and decided to purchase my own last year. I have used it for the two years without any issues.
