Jupiter and Moons

Recommended Posts

Jupiter and Moons, 6-13-2019. Not my best work, but still worth the try. Had equipment snafus, took forever.

('some' of its moons)

I have been hearing Jupiter is close to the earth right now, so... had to give it a shot, or two, since it's up there...

500mm + 1.4 TC, D7000 UV/IR.

No filter, full spectrum, sharpened, cropped, etc..

No surface details, sorry, 'maybe' if it were exposed just for the planet alone, but then the moons would not show up.

I tried various exposures, I don't see any detail in any, even the ones where the moons are basically unseen, but maybe if you don't need the moons, with a shorter exposure...? Don't know.

One could do a composite, but I was having other issues with my cable release so I was happy just getting this.

Love the moon in Post #4.

You've done way better than me at capturing Jupiter and its moons. My attempts look like fuzz.
