Ranunculus lappaceus has a wide distribution in eastern Australia. This specimen was found in the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park in western Victoria.

Immediately recognisable as the UV signature of a Ranunculus - the UV-dark basal patches are smaller than on most European species seen so far by me, however.

We had a pretty slim year here with the dryness but I hadn't been able to find a good specimen of this before.
