Olympus E-PM1 + Meike 28mm f2.8 video test

Recommended Posts

Great job posting this. I was disappointed not to see green legs with the ZWB3.

I didn't listen to the audio, so don't know if you said, but what was the ISO?

I ran a similar test on Friday. We actually had sun. Using a stock Olympus EM1, I was getting great exposure using ISO 6400, f2.8 1/25 with the Baader venus 2 and the Sigma Art 30mm f2.8.

My EL80 f5.6 was dark as was the Pentax YUS 85mm at f4.5 with Baader.

My 390bp25 worked very well with all lenses. I some how was getting 4 stops better light with 390bp25, than Baader. But I wasn't fully paying attention to the clouds. So that could have been the cause.

The Sigma 30mm f2.8 Art will give you autofocus which is cool. That lens really is amazing for uv work. I got mine used for $80.

I said nothing, its all random background. ISO and shutter was auto, I think it variable 200-3200 for video mode.

For VIS and IR parts I used f5.6 and for UV I had f2.8

Sigma 30mm is in my todo list.

Dmitry, way cool !!! Now I'm inspired to try to make a vid.

How did you handle white balance with your filter stacks?

In between clip merge I stopped video record, pointed PTFE sheet and did in camera custom white balance with new filter stack. On FS part I applied WB without filters, put QB21 back and begin record to remove filter on fly :)
