Wow, although I am a huge fan of the 8mm fisheye... I am very attracted to the second shot, very nice.

i personally feel that the f/22 to get the starburst softened the shot and took away from its brilliance..

Agreed! That 8mm does lend itself to good compositions like the tree diagonal. That is just a magical little scene there.

 

I might have to look for one of these....

and if Steve can get the filter carousel to work (no small task - and impressive to date).,,, i now want a BG-3 oops BG3 filter there.

Yes, a filter carousel would be a highly desireable thing for any lens. I've been trying to figure out if I could get someone to build one for the UV-Nikkor.

the 8mm Ai Fisheye comes with a built-in filter carousel.. Steve disassembled it and replaced the filters, unfortunately he has some difficulty finishing the task... i am waiting patiently.

I have no plans to complete my 8mm carousel conversion right now, maybe someday...?

 

As far as filter carousels to add on other lenses, there are various things like that, most I have seen are for telescopes, but could probably be adapted for camera lenses.

Another quick change method are the magnetic filter adapters.
