Quite nice. Even though there are no clouds in the second shot, I like that one best of the two I guess.

turns out the Nikon QD.C 15mm f/5.6 has a filter carousel and is IR capable as well.

Heh, probably one that depends on the angle quite strongly because the light travels through different distances of glass.

i have it.. it had a custom made rear clip which i used for Fuji TAC filters.. but the stock lens had no rear clip.

i also have the Fisheye-Nikkor 16mm f/3.5 Ai'd with a filter carousel with a rear custom made clip..

As for the Nikon 15mm f/5.6, evidently some versions have the gel filter clip stock.

my version doesn't have the gel holder inside the cap..

Bjorn has your Nikon QD.C 15mm f/5.6 posted on his lens page.
He doesn't show any other version, so I don't know if the other versions do IR as well or not.
Maybe that is the only version he has.

I guess what I am wondering is if the QD.C matters. I know it is the only one that Bjorn has listed, but do other versions also work as well or even better for IR?
The QD.C does seem to be easy to find.
