Jim Lloyd
Lloyd, J. J. (2018) Another Example of Glechoma hederacea L. (Lamiaceae). Ground-Ivy. Flower photographed in visible and ultraviolet light. http://www.ultraviol...nother-example/ Edge of road, near Hexham, Northumberland, United Kingdom17 May 2018Wildflower Other Common Names:Creeping CharlieAlehoofComment: Challenging to photograph outside as flowers are only 1 cm across. The common name of ground Ivy is a misnomer as it is related to mint rather than Ivy. Has been used in brewing ale in the past. The UV dark area on the lower petal exceeds the visible marking in the same location. Reference:1. Wikipedia (18 May 2018) Glechoma hederacea. Wikimedia Foundation, San Francisco, CA.2. Jim Lloyd
Thanks Bjørn Sorry I forgot to reference your earlier influential images - I will add that reference later This took me several hours and pushed my uv photography skills to the limit ! I did a lot of experimentation to hit on the best combination of lens / aperture / exposure / iso / position / processing / etc Link to comment
