Ok, this is literally my first attempt at non-visible photography. And with those attempts, my respect for all of you and the quality of the pictures here rises dramatically. Free hand, manual focussing on an LCD screen without any focussing aids and a dubious range scale on the lens (due to the helicoid adapter) is much more difficult than I thought. And the DOF at f/8 isn't that overwhelming, either.

Meet Anton, one of my four cats. Outdoors, in Winter.

Slightly overcast winter day
ISO 100, 1/100, f/8
Steinheil 40 mm, Zomei 680 nm filter, helicoid adapter on a full spectrum converted Canon EOS M
R/B swapped, contrast and brightness adjusted, R and G stretched

Both Anton, the Cat, and the dry blades of the common Reed to the left, are nice subjects for IR.
