Flowers photographed in visible and ultraviolet light. http://www.ultraviol...groot-geranium/ Geranium macrorrhizum L.NO: RosestorkenebbSE: FlocknävaEN: Bigroot Geranium; Rock Crane's-Bill A European species, it is native to the South east Alps and the Balkans. Elsewhere it is cultivated as an ornamental garden plant in temperate regions. The veins on the petals are not UV-prominent unlike other species such as Geranium pratense, G. sanguineum, and G. sylvaticum. There are, however, quite large UV marks on the basal part of the petals combined with the usual UV-dark style and anthers.
