Louvre museum

Hi everyone!

This week-end I went near the Louvre museum with some friends, and I realized the pyramid was made of glass with surely anti-UV coating. So I decided to go back on monday with my FF camera and a 35mm lens to test some compositions.

Here are the results : the pyramid is indeed coated and appears black in UV. I changed the red and blue channels (as for infrared processing) to get some cold tones in the sky and warm tones on the glass and buildings.

For these shots I used the Nikon E 35mm F/2.5. Even if this lens is not very good for portrait, it is very sharp for landscape photography using a tripod.

Gear : Canon 6D FF + Nikon E 35mm F/2.5 + Kolari UV filter

Well done Pierre-Louis !

It gives an other dimension to these glass pyramids.

I particulary like your last shot: perfect lines for such a great building.

Looking closer at museum windows glasses, they are also for sure strong anti UV coated (and maybe more...). This to protect of course precious paintings inside.

An altogether different look from the usual! Very interesting to see famous sites in UV.

I like the last one also.
