Other Common Names:

  • Lesser Stitchwort

Comment:

A key point of identification for S. graminea are the conspicuously veined sepals. The petals are moderately UV-absorbing. The sepals are UV-dark.

In meadows and fields, the white Stitchwort flowers look like scattered stars across the green.
