Synonyms:

  • Pyrola asarifolia ssp. americana (Sweet) Krísa
  • Pyrola rotundifolia L. ssp. americana (Sweet) Clausen
  • Pyrola rotundifolia L. var. americana (Sweet) Fern.

Comment: The longer, narrower sepals of P. americana distinguish it from P. elliptica.
