Andrea B.
......all the petals curl up and fall off. We had talked somewhere about trying to save a dried flower as a test flower for UV. This sunflower specimen was not completely dried, but I saw where it was going --> to the Land of No Petals. So I decided to shoot it anyway and see if the dark blotch was still present on the remaining petals. Yes, it is. Perhaps if you saved a petal with a proper pressing/drying technique it could be used as a permanent test petal?? But I think I'm just gonna buy grocery store sunflowers whenever I need an indoor test specimen. They're cheerful and enjoyable while they last. And make nice compost for the garden when they are finished.
