Andrea B.
Blum, A.G. 2013. Securigera varia (L.) Lassen (Fabaceae). Crown-vetch. Flowers photographed in ultraviolet and visible light. http://www.ultraviol...ria-crown-vetchSouthwest Harbor, Maine, USA13 July 2012Wildflower Synonyms: Coronilla varia L. Comment:The delightful two-toned UV banner and keel and the black wings make for a very interesting UV pattern. This was the first such I had seen. Of course, we may find other Fabaceae with similar UV marks. Reference:1. Mittelhauser et al. (2010) Crown-vetch, page 189. The Plants of Acadia National Park. The U. of Maine Press, Orono, ME.2.
