DonPilou
Good evening, After the last post about aerochrome simulation, I have tested a lot of combinations to achieve this effect using only Photoshop. I finally found a satisfying processing, based on three channel mixers and two white balances with pictures taken with Tiffen 12 filter. Here is one of my first results applied on portrait. Gear : Canon 6D FS + Helios 55mm + Tiffen 12 filterEXIF : 55mm, F/2.8, 100iso, 1/1000s Link to comment

Andy Perrin
What colors are her dress in visual?A VERY DANGEROUS QUESTION. Link to comment
DonPilou
The patterns were black except the biggest flowers which were red and appear yellow in the picture. Link to comment
Cadmium
Yes, I see a little yellow. :-)So her 'belt', or three waist stripes were black then?I am just trying to figure out what the red in her dress was in visual? And then there are the two black lines in her waist...? those would be black too?Confused now.Might you have a visual shot for reference? DonPilou
I would be curious to know what your workup protocol is.Sure, I have discovered nothing ;). I based my reflection on the Flickr topics regularly linked in posts about aerochrome rendering.I shot using a Tiffen #12 filter. Then I processed the RAW as following :- white balance on grey chart- channel mixer between red and green- channel mixer between red and blue- another white balance on grey chart- reduction of red in green channel After that, I worked with the "colour correction" function on Photoshop to dark the red colour. Here are two other portraits taken this day with the same dress : Link to comment
Andrea B.
Like the last one a lot. Thanks for showing us more. What kind of response do you get from your viewers about this unusual red/orange Aerchrome simulation? Link to comment

The best way to see red becoming yellow with my technics is visible in this other picture. The road sign is red, as in all others countries I gess, and here it becomes yellow. The car was red too, but I have no direct proof of its colour in visible light. Link to comment
Cadmium
Yes, very nice example! Thanks! Link to comment
