enricosavazzi
Last year in Valley of Fires, New Mexico. Asahi Spectra XRR0340, so most of the UV is 340-360 nm.The rough rock surface is a (geologically speaking) recent basalt flow, only 5,000 years old and not yet worn out. Link to comment
enricosavazzi
[Editor Note: Enrico and I decided to merge this Infrared post with the UV post because the location is the same.] Last year in Valley of Fires, New Mexico. This was shot in the same area as the UV landscape I posted separately. The diagonal borderline between light and dark ground areas marks a geological difference: dark is a basalt flow, light is a spur of sedimentary rock elevated above the valley floor, which could not be covered by the lava flow. A dust devil can be seen at top right. The dark round object hovering in the sky in the general direction of Roswell is sensor dust (I think). Link to comment
