Rørslett, B. 2013. Adenium multiflorum Klotzsch (Apocynaceae). Impaly Lily. African flowers photographed in visible and ultraviolet light. http://www.ultraviol...um-impala-lily/

A. multiflorum is a small tree native to Southern Africa. The stems and branches are succulent and foliage only appears after the flowering is completed. The plant is rich in a latex with toxic components and the sap has been used for hunting with poison arrows. The flowers occur scattered along the branches and are a pale pink to white offset by reddish borders to make a visually striking contrast.

Plant photographed in situ at Limpopo province, South Africa 18 Sept 2009.
