EL-Nikkors: FFD, Mount & Filter Dimensions

This is a compilation of basic information for the EL-Nikkor enlarger lenses. Minimum information needed to adapt these fine old enlarger lenses for UV-photography includes the flange focal distance (FFD), mount and filter diameters and thread pitch. I still need to add the dimensions of the negative for each model as this translates to the diameter of the image circle projected to a camera sensor when employed as a taking lens.

Most of this was found in the old Nikon literature generously posted by our new member E. Savazzi.

I also found this an enjoyable historical perspective among the Nikon recollections web pages.

John, hurray !!! And thank you for this compliation.

And Enrico, thank you for the old Nikon literature.

This is great!! Finally.

We need to add the latest Rayfact stuff too. http://www.tochigi-n...cts/lens/il.htm

Of course, I will do that in the Sticky next time I update it. And add the FFDs.

Interestingly, I make my 80/5.6 out to be 70mm for the FFD. So now I'm not sure if I have an old one or a new one. It has an aperture window so I had thought it was a new one.

You are most welcome Andrea! This community has been so helpful to me it is the least I can do.

Without Enrico's posting the old literature it would not have been possible, the thanks should go to him.

Like you I would assume your 80mm to be an N model, what is the filter size 34.5 or 40.5? I will check the source material when I get home this evening.

I started to include the Tochigi Nikon Rayfact IL series but all the data and diagrams on these current production models is available to download in pdf format from them.

Just a few clicks away is a pdf download of the specs on the current production model PF10545MF-UV as well.
