Acacia iteaphylla is a dense shrub which is rare in its natural range in South Australia but is considered to be an environmental weed in parts of Victoria due to the ease with which it spreads. The name refers to the willow-like phyllodes. Early settlers in Australia applied the name “wattle” to those Acacia species suitable for building “wattle and daub” huts, this common name is now applied to all Acacia which has over 700 named species.

Nice shots! reminds me of my time in Canberra. Is it now in the family Mimosaceae? Some consider that a subfamily.
