Flowers photographed in ultraviolet and visible light. http://www.ultraviol...-forget-me-not/ Starbucks, Middletown, New Jersey, USA17 April 2013Wildflower Synonyms:Small-flowered Forget-me-notBlue Forget-me-notMyosotis micrantha auct. non Pallas ex LehmComment:I found this tiny M. stricta on a grassy, weedy strip between a sidewalk and a very busy road at my local Starbucks when I stopped for tea. Such dry, disturbed habitats are typical for this Myosotis. The presence of hooked hairs on the calyx gives another identity clue. As is typical of most Myosotis, this sample features a false dark blue corolla in UV. It has a darker eye in its center. Reference:1. New England Wild Flower Society (2014) Mysotis stricta.
