Felicia amelloides, Visible and UV-A

Here are two photographs of Felicia amelloides, one in VISIBLE and one in UV-A. You can see that it has a very UV-dark (absorptive) center, under UV-A exposure. The pale patches seen under UV-A exposure are possibly parts of the petals that are beginning to wither away or drying out / losing moisture. Loss of pigmentation probably also contributes to this. At least, this is my thought / assumption, based on prior experiences.

All shooting parameters / settings are listed directly within each image, for convenience of portability.

Note: as this thread strayed off the initial topic to such a significant degree, I found it better to move all the interesting comments and discussions on UV technicalities elsewhere: http://www.ultraviol...lenses-for-uv/.

This will allow searching and accessing the information much easier in the future.

This site is dynamic in nature so some meandering off the initial topic is expected. However, in the grander scheme of things it may be better to elaborate say technicalities in a better suited board within the site fora.
