Trenton, Maine, USA24 July 2007Wildflower Comment:The characteristic dark lines on the yellow petals are also UV-dark. In this specimen it appears that the topmost petal has a UV-dark center stripe mostly missing on the lower petals. The UV-dark sepals make a nice star accent. Reference:1. Mittelhauser et al.
