YI M1 42.5mm lens (MFT, micro4/3)

Just realized this lens have 6 glasses in 6 groups optical design. No optical cement used at all. Anyone tried it for UV?

 

Only issue with this lens is lack of manual focusing ring.

Nope, I haven't looked at it. I guess if I ever purchased the YiMi dual lens kit really cheap, I may give it a go. Have been tempted when I saw it for $250.

 

I did however, test my Olympus 14-42mm MSC RII lens today. It is surprising useable for UV. Only one stop less than the Sigma 30mm f2.8 lens.

I just now saw that you tested it and got a good Zwb1 signal. I was able to image down to 370nm without too much hit on the exposure time. I think I found my new walk around lens. It also takes 37mm filters and will work with my Lee filter adapter. Basically a 37mm to 58mm stepup ring with a top slit so that I can slide the lee filters in.
