UV Transmission Photography with African violet

I have been interested in if UV passes through some flower, similar to how most microscopy is conducted using trans light illumination. Typically we reflect the light off the object to see the patterns.

Here is the reference image for the African violet I was photographing:

Using a Baader Venus U filter, this is a standard UV reflected image I took before starting. You can see the upper petal is more intact and I took this on PFTE block rather than my light table.

This image the same 365nm light source as above, but placed behind the flower. Basically, I have a 365nm light, then a Lee #750 Durham Frost filter (which acts to diffuse the light and has a spectra from 330nm into IR for transmission), then my clear plate which transmits everything above 300nm and the flower.

This image I have added a reflected 365nm light source in addition to the trans light in front.

This image is the induced IR fluorescence from only the Transmission light source, I am using a 720nm cut off filter on the camera:

This image is the induced IR fluorescence from using both a reflected and transmission lighting, I am using a 720nm cut off filter on the camera:

I also tried to take some UVb transmission images, but they are all black. Nothing is really passing through the flower. However I do see slight difference in the center of the flower using the same Baader Venus U filter on the camera and using the different light sources. So I may be capturing fluorescence within the 330nm to 400nm band of the Venus filter.

This image is using my UVb light with tight crop on the center of the flower:

Looks like the last two photos are hard too see on my phone. If you access this on your phone, as I do. The Uvb one has yellow tint in center, with slight glow. The last photo with only 365nm source, does not have this glow and is missing some of the details.
