Sunflower structure, Cheap and cheerful UV

Squirrels dug up and ate most of the sunflower seeds that I planted this year, so I only managed to get a few 7ft stocks. All late bloomers, but I was wondering if any UVIVF could be seen, using just a Convoy Nichia on a cloudy day. The pollen fluorescence was expected, but the blue florets were a surprise...to me at least.

Gary, this is a nice photo.

Yes, fluorescence can indeed surprise us! I'll look to see if I've gotten blue in sunflowers like that. It's very cool.
