Solar spectrum lens test - Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 12-40mm f2.8 Pro

Recommended Posts

Gear used:

Olympus e-pm1 body full spectrum converted myself.

Olympus 12-40 pro kit lens.

More details in index topic

The front lens element is so huge, that I can't catch the full spectrum using such a tiny spectroscope. Only the blue/green spectral range interests me.

No filter

This lens is known for being one of the best IR lenses for the Olympus. It may be worth while to also capture the IR region, as reference. Especially in light of your 60mm Macro results.

It was very loose mount of 52mm adapter to 62mm lens thread, I need proper step-down ring. As for IR part it was out of frame. Once I obtain step-down ring, I'll make one more test round.
