I still can't get the WB where i would like it, since my scene referred WB will not work with this filter on the D800 UV-VIS-IR.. so in the first below i masked off the lower portion and converted to B&W

Bob, looks good. Especially the top one. PS Auto Levels cleans up the brown whites in the second one for me.

 

yeah,, i left it that way.. but will try, perhaps will be better.

Bob, I really like your wide angle images. They are wonderful!

 

My favourite is the second one.

Here I think the gradual colours adds a dimension to the picture.

I think the 2nd photograph is outstanding! Strong compositionally -- and the unusual color palette enhances the scene. And again there's that "disorienting" slant to the background landscape which is so intriguing. Very well seen, Bob.

Great to see these ! Interesting mix of color and monochrome really sets the mood. Compared to the B+W 403, the UG-2a seems to extend more into the visible range around 500nm...is that why I see a slightly green cast to some of the grey areas ?
