My UV&IR kit: JMC

Been meaning to do this for a while, so this is my UV/IR kit (although I have no doubt I've forgotten some of it);

 

Cameras

  • Canon EOS 5DS R, Monochrome multispectral conversion
    Done by MaxMax, monochrome multispectral conversion with Schott WG280 over the sensor.
  • Canon EOS 7D Mk1, UV conversion
    Done by Advanced Camera Services UK (ACS), with one of their proprietary filters.
  • Nikon D810, UV conversion
    Done by ACS with one of their proprietary filters.
  • Canon EOS 300D, IR conversion
    Bought second hand, and not much known about it.

Lenses

  • Hasselblad UV-Sonnar, 105mm f/4.3, plus Novoflex adapters to use on 35mm Nikon and Canon SLRs.
  • Rayfact, Nikon 105mm f/4.5 UV-Nikkor.
  • Asahi 85/4.5 Ultra-Achromatic Takumar (x2).
  • Soligor 35mm f/3.5.
  • Steinheil Munchen Cassar S, 50mm, f/2.8.
  • Enna Munchen, Lithagon, 35mm, f/3.5.
  • Custom assembled 28mm, f/2.8.

UV-Pass Filters

  • Baader U-Filter 2" HWB=325-369nm.
  • Uviroptics U-340 (2mm, and 2x 4mm).
  • Hoya U-360.
  • B&W 403.
  • Chinese ZWB 1, 3.

UV+Visible Filters

  • Uviroptics, Schott S8612 in various thicknesses used for IR blocking.
  • Chinese BG39 2.5mm for IR blocking.
  • Variety of coloured Schott filters originally used for forensics work.
  • Variety of B&W coloured filters.
  • Variety of linear and circular polarisers.
  • Baader O-III green filter.

UVIR-Blocking Filters

  • Baader UV/IR 2" Blocking FIlter.
  • B&W 486 in various sizes.

IR-Pass, IR+Red, IR+Red+Orange Filters

  • B+W 092.
  • Heliopan 715, 780, 830, 1000, all 77mm.
  • Hoya R72.

UV Lighting

  • Canon EX600 modified for UV use by ACS.
  • Nikon SB910 modified for UV use by ACS (x2).
  • Nikon R1C1 kit with 4 R200 speedlight units, modified for UV use by ACS.

Standards:

  • Labsphere Diffuse Reflectance Standards x 8 (99/80/60/40/20/10/5/2).
  • PTFE tiles for white balance.

Spectroscopy and equipment assessment:

  • Light source Ocean Optics DH-2000-BAL.
  • Optical Stand Ocean Optics RTL-T, for filter transmission measurements.
  • Spectrometer Ocean Optics FX, calibrated 250-800nm.
  • Fibers and collimators 600um extreme solarisation, and UV-Vis collimators (x2 of each).
  • Camera/lens sensitivity measurement system Custom made calibration system for assessment of camera/lens/filter combinations for sensitivity between 280nm and 480nm.
  • Flash intensity measurement system Custom made system allows flash intensity and spectral distribution between 250nm and 800nm to be measured.
