Thought i would try out the D800M (CFA and microlenses removed, low pass filter replace with a BG-38 filter)... Leitz Focotar 50mm f/4.5, Baader U-filter... the B-100A Blak-Ray lights (2) that i have.. with the only thing i could try.. my fingers.. lights were resurrected from back in the day buried in my cellar.. used to do resonance fluorescence with them..

until i can get a better illuminator and subject??

the B-100's lamps consist of 100W mercury vapor bulbs (Sylvania H44GS 100) with a lens that bleeds red.. they get quite hot so the lens (5in diameter)is quite thick...

attached image plus a crop...

One's fingers in UV will indicate an age of > 100 years ....

Tried that years ago myself. Not again.

well with my lack of available targets, need the spring/summer for some better UV targets.. currently frigid in the northeast weather, -5degF (-20.5degC) at 8am without windchill factor..

however, i found those shots interesting in their detail..
