I'm intrigued by the area around the smokestack. In UV the vapors are so much more visible than in the Visible photo.

I like these last 3 very much.

yes.. i agree. unfortunately i find it difficult to camp out there and photograph since the garbage truck drivers perhaps think i am trying to shut down their incinerator and consequently their jobs.

i need to find something else - i am sure this spring/summer will make for better comparisons

oh good grief !!

no kidding... one guy almost stopped (in the garbage truck).. other than that just unsavory stares and i was there all of 5-10min.. i don't really care too much.. just don't want them thinking i am from the EPA

It is impossible to assess a particular situation not having been there, but would a card help? Offer interested parties like your truck driver guys a business type card with your name, email addr and website (or whatever) to reassure them you are simply photographing interesting scenes? Bjørn and I made up a card for UVP to hand out when we get questions or to offer up when requesting photographic privileges.

Bob, How about a sign for the side of you vehicle?

Something like, "Bob's Air Quality Control", with your email, website, and phone number on it also. :D

How about the Ghostbusters hearse? Excellent excuse to creep around with weird gadgetry! Then they will know for SURE you aren’t EPA.

That Ghillie suit example above has some weapon under the left hand side... gulp.

Bob, Don't forget to camouflage your tripod also:

Just hope that no large birds turn you into a nest... ;)
