JMC
Quick photo during my lunch break. Taken on the EOS 5DSR Monochrome UV-Vis-IR, and a Canon MPE65mm lens. ISO800, f14, 1/125th second with Heliopan 715 IR filter. Magnification was around 1.5x life size. Also a shot of the setup showing the camera and subject. Makes me think of what a Cretaceous forest might look like . The lens is maybe a new one for the Nikon users. It's a 1-5x life size magnification macro lens. No focussing - you have to move the setup in and out. But still a pretty cool lens. Link to comment
Andrea B.
Cool shot! Does look like a little forest. But what is it? A sedum? A fungus? A focusing rack might be useful. :D Link to comment
JMC
I think it's a moss, Andrea, but to be honest I don't know. Yes, another thing for me to get now :) Link to comment

Andrea B.
While looking for something else, I came across a photo of Jonathan's plant structure above and learned that it is the fruiting structure of a Marchantiophyta, informally called a Liverwort. It is a non-vascular land plant. Scrolling down on the linked Wiki page eventually shows a small photo of the little structure seen above.Very cool!!!! Link to comment
