Kuri 135mm Sparticle Test

Cadmium

Recommended Posts

First I would like to apologize to anyone and everyone who ever read me saying that the Kuri 180mm transmitted UV well, because it doesn't.

Of course the 35mm does, and here is a Sparticle test of the Kuri 135mm which looks similar to the Kuri 35mm UV transmission.

The Kyoei 80mm transmits UV well also, and so does the Kuri 500mm (with the rear clear filter removed).

My Kuri 105mm and Kyoei 250mm are misplaced, but I will find them and show those Sparticle tests here later.

Here is the list: Kuribayashi 35mm (+), Kuri 50mm (-), Kyoei 80mm (+), Kuri 105mm (?), Kuri 135mm (+), Kuri 180mm (-), Kyoei 250mm (?), Kuri 500mm (+, Note:: with rear clear filter removed).

+ = good for UV, - = poor for UV, ? = need to retest.

For now, here is a Sparticle test of the Kuribayashi 135mm (shot with high ISO, hand held).

Once again, my apologizes to anyone that I may have led astray about the UV capabilities of Kuri 180mm.

Good news, I have located the Kuribayashi 105mm and the Kyoei 250mm.

I will do a formal Sparticle shoot of the entire collection using normal ISO, aperture, and a tripod... and post them all here soon.
