DonPilou
Good afternoon! Last week I found a great opportunity : an old version of the Nikon EL 105mm F/5.6 in perfect condition. I tried it yesterday with a focusing helicoid adapter. The weather was horrible, fog and white sky, a UV rate of 1/10. But I succeeded in shooting a portrait full of details : this enlarging lens is really good, I have never reached so much details in an UV portrait before. Gear : Canon 6D full-spectrum + Nikon EL 105 F/5.6 + Kolari Vision UV filterEXIF : 105mm, F/5.6, 1/6s, 1600iso More to come with more sunny days. Link to comment
Hornblende
Wow, even at maximum apperture this lens is very sharp! My EL-Nikkor 80mm f/5.6 is very very hazy in comparison.By the way, I love these portraits, keep going :) Link to comment

Andy Perrin
Wow! She is very pretty. I can't stop looking at this. (She is also very generous, to let you show every last pore!) Link to comment
DonPilou
Thank you all. I was between 2.5m and 3m from the model. I have also bought the 80mm F/5.6, but haven't got time to test it yet. Link to comment
JCDowdy
This is really nice, I would like to see a Vis version to compare what UV reveals. You will also like the 80mm. Link to comment
