Andrea B.
Blum, A.G. (2016) Sisymbrium officinale (L.) Scop. (Brassicaceae) Hedge Mustard. Flowers photographed in ultraviolet and visible light. http://www.ultraviol...-hedge-mustard/ Shore Cottage, Southwest Harbor, Maine, USA 03 August 2016 Wildflower Synonyms: Common Hedge-mustard Erysimum officinale L. Sisymbrium officinale var. leiocarpum DC. Comment: Here's one where I didn't get the focus quite right on the tiny little flowers. It will have to stand until I can re-photograph it. We are not surprised to see these tiny Brassica flowers exhibit the typical UV-black central parts and looped veining on the petals which we expect from most Brassicaceae under UV light.
