[Filter Test] Schott BG3 Dual Bandpass, Blue and IR

I was just playing around with this filter today. I think it would be much more interesting for street scenes than it is for natural landscapes. (So I guess I should go try that!!)

Here is the foto as it came out of the D600 under Preset 3, which I use for Visible work.

The result of white balancing on the one Visible white flower gives the characteristic yellow-green & blue look.

This is the preceding photo with wild over-saturation.

Here I tried white balancing on the leaves. I actually like this much better than the typical yellow-green/blue presentation (as in second foto above). It looks more IR-ish.

They can indeed be very wild and crazy. I learned from Bjørn and other photogs that a foto made with such filters must be able to stand on its own as a "good foto" so that these filters provide an enhancement rather than a distraction. I've seen some street scenes which seem very cool with such filters. With landscapes, I'm not so sure.
