Andrea B.
Blum, A.G. (2015) Duchesnea indica Focke (Rosaceae) Indian Strawberry. Flowers photographed in ultraviolet, visible and infrared light. http://www.ultraviol...nother-example/ Synonyms:Fragaria indica Andr.Potentilla indica (Andr.) T. WolfMock StrawberryComment:I find that the D. indica flower is easily confused with other Potentilla species, so the bractlets and leaf must be referenced and special attention paid to the relationship between sepals and underlying bractlets.D. indica has been moved to Potentilla indica in some flora. In Ultraviolet light, the flower has a UV-dark basal blotch on each petal and a dark center. The size of the dark spot can vary. Reference:1. New England Wild Flower Society (2015) Potentilla indica.
