Comment:

Photographs taken in the order of visible light, ultraviolet, and simulated insect vision. This is a common weed in Michigan but I have seen it also in Missouri. Lower leaves are typically trifoliate, and upper leaves usually simple. They produce "spiky" fruits as shown in the photo (left).
