A tall-growing species found on coastal shores, roadsides, and agricultural fields in Europe. Two main races, ssp. arvensis (including S. humilis Orlova and S. arvensis L. var maritimus Wahlenb.) and ssp. uliginosus (M.Bieb.)Nyman.

Do note that UV-dark areas of the flower head are shown in reddish hues with this camera and filter technology. So one should keep this fact in mind when comparing these pictures against other UV captures.
