CoreRudbeckia hirta var. serotina (Nutt.) CoreRudbeckia serotina Nutt.Comment: This was an actual wild R. hirta found growing in a dry weedy lot near the Home Depot in Ellsworth, Maine. Usually I see only the garden varieties. R. hirta and other Rudbeckiasare canonical test flowers for UV photography because they have the classic UV-dark, central bullseye over the disc and a large portion of the rays with UV-bright ray tips.
