Further experimentation of visible light induced IR fluorescence of leaves.

Continuing on from....

This time I have looked at the Red, Green & Blue bands of visible light & how they may induce IR Fluorescence in these leaves from a Tecomaria capensis (Cape Honeysuckle).

 

I have used a mains powered RGB LED, down light with remote control.

I have only used the three main RGB LEDs, as the other combinations don't mix perfectly.

Unfortunately, I don't have a turntable light source sad.png

On the camera I have used a RG9 filter to block any visible light from reaching the sensor, only the IR florescence given off the leaves.

 

PS edited by request, The camera, Sigma DP2, full spectrum converted compact camera, 24mm lens, 10 seconds exposure at f10, ISO 100.

The LED lamp, 3W E27 Multi Magic Color RGB LED Spotlight Bulb Change Lamp+24Key Remote Control.

 

These shots have all been taken with the same camera settings & only processed to convert the RAW file to a .JPG file, then cropped & saved for the web.

Col, thanks for the ongoing fluorescence experimentation.

Very interesting results.

I'm still very eager to try this experiment myself. (I got sidelined by my Colorado sojourn.)

 

May we please see the shooting data? It's important so that other folks can try to replicate results and to compare result sets. :D

Camera, lens, exposure settings- the usual stuff.
